Why Buying a Package for Laser Hair Removal is Cost Prohibitive

Paying for Laser Hair Removal Can Be Like Buying a Mattress

laser hair removal hidden tips on a chalkboardLaser hair removal is a lot like buying a mattress.

They are both big black boxes.

Mattresses are a blind purchase.

So is laser hair removal unless you do your due diligence.

At many laser hair removal offices in Pittsburgh, they make pricing the treatments intentionally confusing or impossible. They won’t give you any prices at all ahead of time.

Not even a range of prices.

That’s because they want to work you over into buying a package using proven sales and marketing techniques.

Frankly, we are disappointed at the lack of transparency for pricing laser hair removal in the Pittsburgh market.

Laser hair removal costs vary widely throughout Pittsburgh.

Most people choose a laser center by the convenience of the location.

The first criteria that many people use for choosing an office is – Which place is closest to home?

Rarely do people consider the experience of the laser technician who will be doing their treatments or the length of time that the office has been performing laser hair removal.

All laser offices are not the same.

Dig a little deeper.

Are they supervised by a doctor who is on site when you are having your treatments or not?

Learn our five hidden truths of laser hair removal to prevent being taken advantage of.

How to Compare Prices for Laser Hair Removal

doctors under a magnifying glassTo compare prices, we made phone calls to the various offices.

In addition, we used Google to determine if prices were published on the office’s web sites.

Our poll found that basically there’s not a lot of information on the cost of laser hair removal out there.

Many of the sites we visited simply did not list their prices at all.

Those that did strongly pushed you to buy packages because their prices by the session were prohibitive.

Guarantees posted on one site stated that they did not guarantee results. Guarantees were only given if you bought a package. (Hint: subtle arm twisting)

That office stated that “the guarantee is based on the coverage of sessions with the treatment protocols; not the results.”

I don’t even know what that means.

It seems like double talk to me.

Most offices did not disclose the price either on the phone or on their web site.

The reason for this is that they want to try to sell you a package for thousands of dollars. Packages can range from $5,000 to $10,000 depending on how many areas of the body that you want treated.

Laser hair removal usually requires 6 to 8 treatments over a period of about one year to destroy the hair follicle and achieve desired results.

Treatments are scheduled 6 to 8 weeks apart.

Sometimes you will get complete clearance of the hair in only a few treatments especially if you are targeting the legs or underarms.

Buying a package in these cases would be a huge waste.

How Laser Hair Removal is Priced at Happel Laser

the hunt is over signHere are our published laser hair removal prices.

Our costs are considerably less than the national average laser hair removal cost.

We sell and price laser hair removal by the session rather than require patients to purchase a package.

We’ve found that requiring patients to purchase a package is simply cost prohibitive for many.

If you have visited the websites of other practices, you’ve probably noticed that most do not display their prices.

Our laser hair removal services cost less than other providers when you consider the total cost.

How many treatments do you need?

Most patients require between 6 to 8 treatments to achieve their desired result.

After the first two or three treatments, patients will see considerably less hair. The remaining hair will tend to be finer and lighter in color.

If a laser office does not publish a range of prices or provide a range of prices for their hair removal services on the phone, there is a problem.

If you see memberships being pushed for gold, silver, and platinum levels for premium packages, there is also a problem.

By pushing packages, they force you to return whether you are satisfied or not.

We believe in full transparency in pricing and know that cost is a common concern.

We price our services competitively and affordably.

They are simple to understand.
